My little urban jungle of delights

…when you live in the middle of the city, you don’t necessarily expect lemons to ripen between buildings, olive trees to sway their leaves in the wind, and the air to smell of mint. But that’s exactly what happens on my balcony – my little green retreat, which I lovingly call LetsDoGardening.

Here, small wonders grow all year round: blueberries, raspberries, currants, and strawberries provide sweet moments, while mint, basil, thyme, and other herbs supply my kitchen with fresh flavors. My lemon tree has become a real star – every spring it smells of a Mediterranean holiday, and in autumn it gives me aromatic fruits that taste of sunshine.

Among the potted plants, you’ll also find olives, a prickly pear (which is surprisingly thriving!), and seasonally I grow everything I enjoy – from chili, bell peppers, and tomatoes to carrots, radishes, and crisp salads.

LetsDoGardening is more than just balcony work for me – it’s a piece of deceleration, creativity, and joy. Every new shoot, every blossom, and every harvest tells a little story.

And the best part: All these treasures eventually end up in my kitchen – fresh, home-grown, and made with a lot of love.

Here on the blog, under LetsDoGardening, you’ll find my personal harvest stories, tips for care, fertilization, and overwintering – and of course, plenty of inspiration for your own little balcony paradise.
